The South Central Baptist Association

Located in the central region of Pennsylvania, the South Central Baptsit Association (SCBA) is comprised of 30 churches in six counties (Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Norththumberland and Schuylkill).  The churches range in size, locale and ethnic/cultural diversity.

Our staff includes Steve Sheldon (Director of Missions), Alberto Hernandez (Hispanic Ministries Director) and Pam Windle (Administrative Assistant).  The office is located at 751 E. Local and Global Ministries

Local Ministries

The South Central Baptist Association is a support ministry of the member churches.  Our ministries consist of church strengthening and church starting through personal consultation, seminars, workshops, events and other activities.  The SCBA works in cooperative partnership with the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania/South Jersey and the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Global Ministries

Along with cooperating in global efforts through the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, the South Central Baptist Association has a unique partnership with the Lima (Peru) Baptist Association.  Each year SCBA sponsors mission trips to Lima to work with the churches by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through witnessing, medical missions, church strengthening training and other events.  The 2010 Peru Mission Trip is scheduled for June 24th through July 4th.  For more information contact the Association Office (717-367-9779).
